PLAYOJO ARE ON A ROLL, PICKING UP 2 MORE AWARDS!

UK Social Media Awards

Barely a week has passed since PlayOJO scooped up the EGR Bingo Marketing Campaign Award 2021. And now we’re popping the champagne once again with not just one, but two more awards under our belt.

The UK Social Media Awards 2021

This time it was the UK Social Media Awards who gave OJO recognition for our Safer Gambling ‘Compulsion’ campaign which featured reality TV star, Gemma Collins. As the only online casino in the final line-up, the double-award was presented for Best Use of Instagram and also Best Use of Social Media for Entertainment.

The prestigious UK Social Media Awards celebrates the creativity and innovation in achieving outstanding social media campaigns, so we were chuffed to bits to be recognised for our work that went into this worthwhile campaign.

PlayOJO’s Compulsion Campaign

The double-award-winning campaign featured Gemma Collins with her a new faux ‘fragrance’, Compulsion, that was used to highlight that problem gambling is the ‘addiction with no smell’.

The campaign also saw Gemma hold a series of interviews with Breakeven, a charity that offers free counselling to individuals who are struggling with problem gambling behaviours. Additionally, we worked alongside Breakeven to develop an acronym SMELL, to help players or their loved ones, who may suspect that there is an issue at hand. Stephanie Merry, PlayOJO’s Social Media Manager, had this to say about the double-award win:

“To win one award is amazing, but to win two is truly phenomenal, especially given the caliber of the competition we were up against. This really was a team effort from everyone at PlayOJO and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s efforts, along with the support of the excellent agency partners we work with”.
